The deliberate decision by the founders of Tiso Group to bequeath a substantial portion of their individual shares to a Foundation that would dedicate its mission and resources to the development of youth, focusing on education and skills development. The beneficiaries are 100% Black People as defined in the BEE Codes of Good Practice, 50% of whom are women. The Foundation is a registered NPO, PBO and complies with S30 and S18A of the Income Tax Act. The Trustees and Management of Tiso Foundation have a broad array of experiences (strategic leadership, mergers and acquisitions, financial expertise, legal expertise, business acumen, social and ethics, transformation) and a well-established track record in providing advice, insight and assistance to its partners.
The Foundation believes in empowering young people and providing them with education and professional skills to allow them to become economically active. Most important to Tiso Foundation is the nurturing of well-rounded individuals, who can confidently engage as conscious professionals in society, whilst giving back to the country.
